Installation of patches on Linux and macOS ------------------------------------------ June 6, 2022 This is only valid for an existing installation of SAS 20.0.0, somewhere in your system, e.g. /xmmsas_20211130_0941. Once you have downloaded the 2 tgz files, please copy them to the root directory of your existing SAS 20.0.0 installation, e.g. to /xmmsas_20211130_0941. Now you just simply unpack them # tar zxf evqpb-0.10.3-patch.tgz # tar zxf arfgen-1.102.1-patch.tgz After SAS initialisation, you may check that each new binary is effectively installed by invoking it as follows # evqpb --version evqpb (evqpb-0.10.3) [xmmsas_20211130_0941-20.0.0] # arfgen --version arfgen (arfgen-1.102.1) [xmmsas_20211130_0941-20.0.0] That is all. Enjoy! NOTE: Due to the quick evolution of macOS operating system, we could not provide a specific build of these patches on macOS 10.15.7 aka Catalina. Instead they are provided for macOS BigSur and Monterey on Intel. Although we could not test it, we think the build of these packages on macOS BigSur can be used successfully on macOS Catalina. With respect to macOS Monterey on the new Apple M1 processor, the SAS 20 built on macOS BigSur and the builds of these patches on Monterey on Intel, both work successfully.
